Historic Land Mark- The Hotel Magnolia located in Foley, Alabama.
Written by: Cindy Lane Ross
This quaint little hotel sits on the main road, Highway 59, running right through Foley, Alabama. The gated fence, beautiful lawn, and white colonial columns will definitely spark your interest. The Hotel Magnolia dates back to 1908 and was built by John Burton Foley.
For many years we have drove by and always would say, we need to come back and stay there, so we were discussing this year on where to go for our getaway and chose Hotel Magnolia and we were so glad we did. The Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our entire stay was wonderful. Love the beautiful antiques and decor. I would definitely recommend Hotel Magnolia. Also take time to visit the Train Museum and Medical Museum that is within walking distance. Also all the Antique Stores all around the area. We enjoyed every minute and will definitely return again.
As you can tell from the pictures above, when you stay at The Hotel Magnolia, you will feel as if you have gone back in time with all the beautiful decor and antiques. Make sure to pack your favorite book so you can enjoy an afternoon on the front porch rocking your worries away, while the minutes slowly pass by.

This hotel still bestows the charm and elegance it’s always been known for. It was reopened in 2014 with all the comforts and amenities you would hope for in a bed & breakfast. The Hotel Magnolia makes for a perfect romantic weekend getaway, girls weekend, or for a special event such as hosting a wedding and/or reception.
